Aion Rift is the port between Elyos and Asmodians, the Rift randomly appears in the maps(>Level 20). Through the Rift, Elyos or Asmodians can enter in the land of oppoisite faction, its the only way to pvp except Abyss, of course you can only use it to collect materials, do quests or go to common instances. In Aion, the enchantment stone system plays an important role. The enchantment stone is uesd to increase the attack power of weanpon or the defend power of armor. But notice that, you cant get the enchantment stone by hunting monster as other games, you just need to buy the Extraction Tools from sundries npc to extract the enchantment stone from weapon or armor. Very similar to the Sorcerer save for the key difference of the pet summons. It is not yet clear how many different types of summons are available but so far we can tell there is at least one for every element, each for their appropriate situation. The Spiritmaster’s primary source of personal damage comes from DoT like spells
The Spiritmaster has a lot of versatility at his disposal when fighting other players. He can use his abundance of crowd control to kite while letting his summoned pet and DoTs burn down the target.
For the Harry Potter wanna-be’s out there; this nuker is just right for you. The variety of spells at their disposal is massive, each using the power of the elements. They are the main source of damage in a raid. Their primary weapon held in hand is either an orb or spellbook. They are practically useless in close quarters combat and are very vulnerable. They typically will have a low HP pool but a skilled player will know how to avoid taking damaged
All PVP videos of the Sorcerer show them obliterating their opponents from afar. In some cases, however, the enemy player will get the jump on the Sorcerer or out-skill them to get in close resulting in a quick death to the caster.
For those of us coming from WoW the best way to describe the Chanter is to think Discipline Priest. He can heal many typical situations but mostly offers very vital raid buffs. If you played a Bard in EQ and enjoyed it this may very well be the class for you. Much like the Cleric, the Chanter can do some decent melee damage when necessary, either for soloing or assisting the DPS in a raid. They are able to equip a shield and mace if needed.
PVP as a Chanter is interesting from what we’ve seen. They are able to put out enough melee damage to slowly bring down their opponent but due to their ability to heal and absorb damage they outlast many fights in 1v1.
